Present Continuous
The present continuous is used to describe the actions taking place at the moment, temporary situations, and planned activities in the future.
Subject + am/is/are + ing
-I am working
-She is reading
-They are playing
Examples
(actions, wich are happening right now)
I am studying English now.
She is cooking dinner at the moment.
They are watching TV now.
Temporary actions
Used for actions that occur around the current period but are not permanent actions.
- He is staying with his friend this week.
- I am working on a new project these days.
Actions in the future
Applies to fixed plans in the near future.
- We are meeting the teacher tomorrow.
- She is traveling to London next week.
